Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Oslo Gülşen İpiçürük took part in the “Oslo Afro Arts Festival” held at the “Intercultural Museum” on 28th August 2021, with her “Afro” collection consisting of oil paintings inspired by Botswana, where she had previously served. The exhibition met with the diplomatic corps, museum officials and more than 300 art lovers of Norway.
The oil painting exhibition by Gülşen İpiçürük, Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Oslo, titled “Art through the eyes of a diplomat” was held at Gallery T on September 9-12, 2021.
Many participants from the Oslo Municipality, various museums as well as the Norwegian art community, the diplomatic corps and the representatives of the Turkish associations, showed interest to the exhibition, which consists of oil paintings presenting Turkey, as well as works bearing traces from Botswana, Sweden and Norway, where she has served as a diplomat so far.
The exhibition, whose opening speech was made by Ambassador Fazlı Çorman, became an event that contributed to the promotion of her country and culture by transforming into an interactive performance with live Turkish music and a wish tree with the theme of “Peace at home, Peace in the World”, one of our cultural symbols.
